About the OH
New ownerships vision to breathe new life into the historic establishment began in 2022 with extensive interior renovations to infuse the hotel with a contemporary beach house style and tranquil ambiance while still preserving many of the historical elements. Previously operated as an eight room Bed & Breakfast, the OH Victoria has been converted into a three suite long-stay hotel, perfect for large family gatherings, small corporate events or simply be your home base for your week long PEI adventure.
Our New Name!
The updated hotel required a name that reflected its transformation while paying homage to its roots. The OH in the name stands for the Orient Hotel, a nod to the cherished memories and legacy associated with the historic landmark. Adding "Victoria" to the name was a deliberate choice to honour the village where the hotel has stood for over a hundred years, further solidifying its connection to the community. With this rebranding, the OH Victoria Hotel embraces its rich history while embarking on a new chapter, allowing it to create its own unique story while upholding the spirit of the beloved Orient Hotel.
ABOUT THE ORIENT HOTEL
Previously known as the Orient Hotel, this historical building was built in the 1900 and is valued as one of the earliest hotels in the Village of Victoria. It was reportedly built by carpenter Charles Roger who built several buildings in the village. The hotel was named the Orient Hotel long ago, which most likely derived from the popularity of Oriental decor in the early 1900s. Now having been remodelled in 2023, the Orient Hotel, now OH Victoria Hotel, will always be a beloved building in PEI and known by people from all over.
